Public Transportation
From Washington National Airport: We recommend taking a taxi
or the Blue Shuttle so that you don't have to negotiate an
unfamiliar subway while you have bags. To use metro from National
Airport take a Yellow Line train going toward Mount Vernon Square.
At Mount Vernon Square, step off of the train and wait for the next
train, this should be a green line train. Step onto the green line
train and take it to U Street-Cardozo. Exit the station at the 13th
and U Street side. At the top of the escalator turn left. Go to R
Street and turn right. We are the fourth house on the right.
From Dulles International Airport: We suggest taking the
Blue Shuttle or the Airport Connector. We recommend a Blue Shuttle,
as it will bring you to our door. The Airport Connector will bring
you to the Downtown Airport Terminal then you'll have to take a cab
to the house.
You may also take an Airport Connector to the Vienna Metro on the
Orange Line. Take the Orange Line going toward New Carrolton. Change
to a Green Line train at La' Enfant Plaza. Take the Green Line train
to U Street-Cardozo. Exit the terminal at the 13th and U Street exit
turn left at the top of the escalator. Turn right on R Street. We
are the fourth house on right.
From Baltimore Washington Airport: We recommend taking the
Blue Shuttle to our door. You may however take a shuttle to Amtrak
and then take Amtrak to Union Station. Follow directions below from
Union Station.
From Union Station: We suggest taking a Taxi if you have
lots of bags. To get to the William Lewis House by Metro, take the
Red Line from Union Station going towards Shady Grove. At Gallery
Place, switch to a Green Line train going to U Street-Cardozo. At U
Street-Cardozo, take the 13th and U Street exit. Turn left at the
top of the escalator. Turn right on R Street. We are the fourth
house on the right.
